At 68 I have been a lifelong eczema sufferer and have extremely dry/sensitive skin, which makes me reluctant to try out new products. I've been trying to manage my severe acne for over 5 years now - my acne was very demoralising, it's been stubborn, painful and unsightly. The spots would grow very big and stay for ages. They were often big 3D domes, popping up anywhere on my face, and therefore very difficult to cover up. I am also 45 and peri menopausal so my skin is behaving very differently because of that. I've tried countless products, some with a small degree of efficacy, but this has been the first product to clear up my acne almost entirely. I was due to, reluctantly, start a course of Roaccutane but no longer feel I need to as my skin is the happiest it's been in years since using Illuminate. My pores have also decreased in size which is a side effect I wasn't expecting, not sure which ingredient is responsible for that. I'm about to purchase my 3rd bottle and put my foundation back in the drawer as I'm no longer using it, which is pretty liberating after years of covering up and feeling self conscious. Having read so many reviews on other websites of other people's miracle products, I was always disappointed when they didn't work for me. This product may not work for everyone, we all have different skin, but if like me you are beginning to feel a bit desperate because of acne, then this may be worth a try. It took a few weeks of slow but consistent improvement in acne and skin tone before I began to really believe that Illuminate might be the game-changer it's proven to be for me. I’ve never been a fan of face oil, however finding this little gem has turned my reasoning upside down. It’s lovely! Not too thick, but not too fluid-y that it runs off my face in a nanosecond, it absorbs beautifully, and it just feels like it’s doing me a power of good.
